Stage coach Added after your last visit

Trying to save the newspaper industry by taxing the internet? What if a long time ago they'd have tried to save the stage coach by taxing railways, would we still be taking a coach to work?

Bloody cheapskates! Added after your last visit

We always used to pump up our car tyres at the BP filling station. Yesterday were at the new Shell station around the corner and thought what the hell, let's give our tyres some air. You know what? At Shell's you have to pay! For bloody air! After silently giving them a couple of pointers about the orifice in which they might place the air hose we drove away again. Cheapskates! Selling air!

Nice neighbourhood Added after your last visit

And then it turned out I live in one of the thickest districts in Utrecht:
Newcomer PVV* did especially well in Overvecht (20 percent of the voters), Vleuten-De Meern (19%) and Zuilen (14%). In Veldhuizen/Vleuterweide and in the quarter around the Wolgadreef in Overvecht the party even became the biggest party.

Elected Added after your last visit

For the first time since many years, I got to contribute to a colouring book yesterday. I liked that, retro-elections with a red pencil. And finally since many years I voted for a party that got to win an extra seat thanks to me. But not, of course, for THE winner.

Quote Added after your last visit

I found this in The Poetry of Robert Frost, while reading in the garden. At a moment like that, a cameraphone is just great.

A very long poem Added after your last visit

Antwerp keeps surprising us. This time with a very long (1100 metres) poem in the Saint-Anna tunnel. And a very wonderful poem too.

Little / greater Added after your last visit

I think every Pole, seeing this photograph, can now understand why we sometimes refer to Belgium as Little Poland (and to Poland as Greater Belgium)
